University reopens for remote instruction and operations Friday

The ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø will reopen on Friday, Aug. 28. Please note the following instructional, operational, and residential details.

Academics

  • All classes will be held remotely on Friday, Aug. 28.
  • In-person, online, HyFlex, hybrid, and remote classes will resume on Monday, Aug. 31.
  • A plan to make up missed class instruction days will be released next week.

Students, if you are unable to attend or participate in class, you should contact your professor(s). If you need further assistance, contact the Office of the Dean of Students at deanofstudents@louisiana.edu or (337) 482-6276.

Computer Labs and Bourgeois Hall

The computer lab in the Edith Garland Dupré Library and the will resume normal schedules on Saturday, Aug. 29. View library hours . The computer lab in Agnes Edwards Hall is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Bourgeois Hall will reopen on Saturday, Aug. 29.

Operations

  • All on-campus operations and departmental office staff will resume teleworking on Friday, Aug. 28.
  • Office of Facilities Management staff should return to work on campus on Friday, Aug. 28
  • All on-campus operations will resume and departmental offices will reopen on campus on Monday, Aug. 31.

Campus Residents

Shelter-in-place for campus residents has been lifted.

Counseling and Testing Center

The UL ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø Counseling and Testing Center is offering sessions by phone and online. To schedule an appointment, call (337) 482-6480 during business hours. Center hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Please note the following changes to the academic calendar.

  • Online registration (drop/add) will remain open through Monday, Aug. 31.
  • Fall 2020 full-term census day is now Tuesday, Sept. 8.
