Parking for the ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø’s Fall 2016 Commencement General Assembly and ceremonies for each academic college will be available at several locations.
UL ÀÏ˾»ú¸£ÀûÍø’s Fall 2016 Commencement General Assembly will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Cajundome.
Master’s and bachelor’s degrees will be conferred at ceremonies for each of the University’s eight academic colleges. Below is a schedule of times and locations for academic college ceremonies.
Cajundome
- 8:30 a.m. College of Liberal Arts
- 1:30 p.m. B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration
Cajundome Convention Center - Festival Ballroom (2nd floor)
- 8:30 a.m. College of the Arts
- 1:30 p.m. Ray P. Authement College of Sciences
Cajundome Convention Center - Exhibit Hall B (1st floor)
- 8:30 a.m. College of Education
- 1:30 p.m. College of Engineering
Bourgeois Hall
- 8:30 a.m. College of Nursing and Allied Health Professions
- 1:30 p.m. University College
For the General Assembly and academic college ceremonies at the Cajundome and Convention Center, graduating students and faculty will park in the lot outside the venues. Motorists are encouraged to enter through Gate 8 on West Congress Street, and through Gate 11 on Souvenir Gate.
Parking at Bourgeois Hall will be available in the lot outside the building for graduating students, and faculty members. They should enter the second lot via Cajundome Boulevard.
Motorists will be required to show their cap and gown to enter both lots, as detailed in graduation packets that were emailed by the Office of the University Registrar.
Vehicles carrying people with disabilities will be able to enter both the Cajundome and Bourgeois lots with state-issued placards, permits, or license plates for the disabled. Motorists are encouraged to enter through Gate 12 on Souvenir Gate for the ceremonies in the Cajundome and Convention Center, or the softball field entrance on Cajundome Boulevard for the ceremonies in Bourgeois Hall.
Parking for the public who plan to attend ceremonies at the Cajundome and Convention Center or at Bourgeois Hall will be at Cajun Field. Attendees will walk to the ceremonies. Following ceremonies at Bourgeois Hall, buses will shuttle attendees back to Cajun Field, depending on availability.
Security measures will be in place at the Cajundome and Convention Center, and at Bourgeois Hall. University Police officers will examine the contents of purses, bags, and packages of attendees. Extremely large bags or oversized packages won’t be permitted inside the Commencement venues.
